It appears as though Midwest-Analog along with Thomas Henry is nowhere to be found on the internet nowadays with the exception of
the wayback machine site. A real shame this is because they had some very interesting synth construction books and tips. I got my Electronic Music: The reprints copy a couple of years ago now, and glad that I did, just wish I would've ordered the other books as well. Feel free to rummage through the wayback machine site and pick what you want, some schematics and all the text still left.

Thomas Henry shut down Midwest Micro a few months ago because it wasn't worth the effort. No word on what he did with any leftover publications, parts, etc.
Sadly, he was working on 2 *new* books when he closed shop. Not sure if they'll see the light of day.
Waaaah. :-(

i thought i was the only one.. How sad i was to see mid-west analog's website *POOFED* into cyber oblivion
i am just finishing the CLANGORA hi hat project , my bipolar 15v +/- is being shipped from blacet.
i etched my own pcb, etc etc and followed the nuts & volts plan to a T and hopefully the module passes the smoke test. Ive listened to the demo mp3 a zillion times and it always makes my heart race. if it works. im building more!
i dont think TH knows how important he is to the DIY synth world.

I finished it !!!! . Thanks Thomas Henry!! i am so grateful. CLANGORA is one of the coolest little synths i own. the range of sounds is vast .
i was triggering it with an arp 1623 analog seq using the gate switches. for some reason my tr 606's trigger outs ( hi & low toms) were confusing the clangoras inputs. the arp works like a dream.
it took me a Lonnnng time to finish this module. For my first DiY project i am happy and want to build more. the blacet + - 15v supply permits up to 6 modules..at least.

I haven't seen a distributor for his books, but there is at least one source for the impossible to find NE566 on ebay. He runs regular auctions for them at about half what TH's store charged.

Thomas Henry books will be available soon from Magic Smoke Electronics.

Also he has not dissappeared, he's been working with one of the people on the SynthDIY mailing list on an XR2206 based VCO. With some luck that will show up from Magic Smoke in a few months. Apparently his realworld workload overcame his ability to do Midwest Analog. He has recently been published in Nuts&Volts again however...
