Dan Deacon
Honestly, I would've never heard of this guy if not for an avid GetLoFi reader who shared this awesome piece of footage with me. Dan Deacon an electronic Musician who uses hi-tech Vocoders, Harmonizers, Signal Generators, and Toy Keyboards can be seen spazzing out on NBC with his fly open. The guy is nowhere to be found except in some dark corners of the internet. However his music did make it on archive.org and can he heard right now. Thanks Jon.

Just want to start by saying sorry for the post's earlier. Dandeacon.com went down on saturday. he has a www.myspace.com/dandeacon site. It's kept more updated. I found out about him earlier this summer. He had 4 mini tours this summer coming out as far a the mississippi river for shows. He is a really nice guy. Got to talk to him after one of his shows in chicago. He has a song called "my name is robert" that is great. I also would say grab a listen to "My own face is F word" and "Smearing Sh!t on C@ck parts". He has this shirt I bought that Say dan deacon and has a out line of the U.S. with penned in Breast on the inside of the U.S. That shirt gets so many stares when I wear it, and when people see me catch them looking they look away like there were actually looking at a chicks breast. Good time. Twacky Cats.

The odd thing is knowing it was filmed in my hometown. I don't think they even do local music anymore.

I somewhat know him. Someone by the name of Quinn took me to a local punk show where he was playing. Annoyed by the emo bands I left and ended up listening to his set from outside, we chatted later that night. Later on I saw him perform at Purchase college with a band he was playing with. I was drunk and we started talking, he shook my hand rough and ended up spilling my beer all over me. So when I saw this I was really confused, hes not so weird, but a nice guy that attends Purchase (new york)

Yeah, I saw Dan Deacon twice in New Orleans. He's one of the best entertainers I've ever seen, and one of the funniest... After one of his shows, I asked about the NBC news thing. He told me a friend got him on, and the news guy didn't know anything about Dan, so when Dan started performing the news guy got really pissed off. Dan is really insane live. He's also a really honest nice guy.
