Nanoloop 1.3

Apparently this thing is supposed to be out sometime this month, but I remember last time when NL2.0 came out and Oliver promised that for a few months, before actually starting to take orders. NL 1.3 will be the same as 1.2 that we all know and love. Except with some tweaks and fixes like the LFO, basic arpeggiator, pitch bend, more memory banks, and an extra R instrument. Can't wait. Too bad Micro is not backwards compatible with the old GameBoy carts. http://www.nanoloop.com/13.html

    So this will be an updated version of the nanoloop that works with the old grey gameboys? I've been keeping one hoping that he would make more since they go for a mint on the world wide yard sale (ebay).

    Yes it is for the old grey GameBoy. The value of NL1.2 or previous versions may go down, given the re-release. The original issue with NL1.2 getting canned was because Oliver could not get new blank carts for the old system and also probably didn't have time for support with NL2.0 rolling out. However NL2.0 may not have been recieved as well as it should've been. Personally I find it is alot harder to use. It is rather different with more bells and whistles.

    As far as the hardware goes. I imagine the demand for old Grey systems will go up. As well as the number of mods and recasings given the low cost of those machines. I am glad however that I picked up a SuperGameboy for SNES for $2 the other day. He He He. Sell it $100!

    As a side note. NL1.3 will not be compatable with GBA Micro, since it does not play Original Gameboy Games, unlike SP or GBA original.

    the curent version of the nanoloop1.3 still Beta. the feature set is full but does not work on the gray gameboy for now. the release version will be compatible with all the old gameboy.(anything before NDS) I was verry sad to see some feature was remove like the multi pattern option in the file menu. :( and I dont understand why the button A and B functions are inverted. one of the thing I dont like from the nanoloop2 is the buttons are different from 1.2. I still use nanoloop 1.1 and 1.2 alot and I'm sur I will be all mixed in button again with version 1.3. there are cool feature like FM and arpeggio or a funny new synthesis. I'm still verry interrested in this software. I will wait as much as I can before ordering the 1.3 since the nanoloop2.0 1st release was a real nighmare. the beta was not tested correcty and Oliver was recalling every cart. Nanoloop 1.2 is so good,the expectation is verry high.
