505 Done rite'

Yes yes yes, more wood and aluminum combos please. Josh posted a link to his awesome 505 with a wooden case and a matrix patchbay. He said that he worked for a whole on this and I can believe that, A+. Just please don't sell this piece on eBay, its too nice. http://www.terretron.com/505.html

hey! thanks for posting this, i'm flattered. no worries, it's not going on ebay. i'd consider making another to sell though, i learned a lot doing this one. this is not a cheap piece however, and i doubt someone would make me an offer i'd seriously consider.

Wouldn´t it be a better idea to "reverse" the order of the 505 / patchbay / "control center" if another one is built? So its easier to get to the 505 buttons..

maybe, but by doing that you'd be blocking all the i/o connections on the back. and moving those would be quite a hassle. for my purposes, this config is best. i built it mainly to be triggered by midi, thus i really have no use for the internal sequencer, or the trigger buttons.

i would consider making the panel on one of the sides, that would work well without obscuring any of the original interface.
