Slow Tape guy

I try not to cross post whenever I can, but in this case I fear that this intense video would just slip through the cracks. First it appeared on gvod.blogspot.com, it depicts a man showcasing his rigged up tape player. This inventor demonstrates his tape skills to a couple of younger guys with all the usual stops made like: Technical difficulties that result from not plugging it in, rants about RadioShack, good ol' Communist propaganda, and the use of a CAT based synth. Must see, feel good video of the day for sure. Video Link. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1985470743073373347

That just goes to show that, another man's junk is another man's treasure. It was well done. He had some interesting ideas about moding that tape deck that I would have never thought of. That mic stand was a little out there and hard to understand. Did he say there was 4 Mic's on that thing.

Interesting ideas. Does he do anything with synth sounds or electronic music?

I wondered what you could do in a live music setting. Play notes, record, and play back slow or distorted a few secondes later, automatically. Or have a few tape machines, each different speeds. One very slow, another very fast. Each recording and playing back automatically. (I guess that would be a primitive sampler, primitive yet extremely cool...)
