Evil Speed Horse walkman distortion

I remember people talking about making distortion pedals out of tape players a while back on the Benders list. However Ethan Tripp shared his new creation with the world only recently. All I have to say is dang. The outside and the inside look great. Its almost possible to tell what is going on with the circuitry from the inside shot, however it would've been better if he used different color wires for sure. The outside looks great as well with the ink jet printable water slide decals and a great paint job. The distortion sounds very interesting with some neat feedback oscillations taking place at certain settings. Sound Sample located here.
