Thanks for the tip about the CPL I'll give it a try. The boards are stored in plastic containers or ziplock bags and usually don't deteriorate much.

The worst is when you use No Clean solder that stuff eats through the copper like nothing.

First of all I would like to say these are some great videos. I already make PCBs myself (slightly differently) but it's always interesting to see how someone else does it.

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if you coat your finished boards with anything to protect them once you've etched and cut them?

I do, and I use CPL, it works great and you can solder through it. This is the stuff I buy: http://cpc.farnell.com/1/1/43103-electrolube-lacquer-cpl200h-electrolube.html

It is probably available under other brands, but I have never looked.

Hello
I am also doing prototyping. So far i have etched one board. I was just wondering where i can find thick copper clad boards. It seems like the thickest one sold out there is 1/16" thick but they are flimsy. Commercial pcb are at least 1/8". Where can i find them?

Hey Allan,

Transfer has to be reversed if you are doing Surface mount. Through hole not.

No, there will not be videos of drilling. Besides whats there to know about drilling, get a drill press and start making holes. :-) Please search youtube, I'm sure someone has done that already.
