On the contrary, this Portable Soldering Iron does a very good job of heating to nearly 800 degrees and ensuring a nice solid solder connection.
Note that this tool is for precision work, SMT or light to medium soldering. Not Tube Amplifier Turret board work.
I love it and just ordered two more! I use this instead of my Weller for surface mount parts.
